Andy has developed a new type of kettle and travels to the "big city" to secure a patent. Once there, he becomes entangled in a series of misadventures involving a patent attorney's wife, which makes it look like he is having an affair. The situation is made worse by the presence of the jealous attorney and the arrival of Andy's own suspicious wife and interfering sister-in-law, who have followed him to the city.
